Helping Women During Breast Cancer Awareness Month

Posted by Veronica Armstrong on

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and we've partnered with National Breast Cancer Foundation, Inc.® to increase awareness and support their inspiring mission.

National Breast Cancer Foundation

NBCF provides help and hope to those affected by breast cancer through early detection, education and support services.

According to the NBCF, 1 in 8 women will face a breast cancer diagnosis in her lifetime. If you are one of the seven fortunate women who isn't confronted with this life changing diagnosis, chances are one of your friends, coworkers, or family members, or someone close to you is affected. There is no avoiding breast cancer or its impact on our communities.

There is currently no cure, so our best chance to beat breast cancer lies in early detection and diagnosis. Early treatment is critical to breast cancer patient's survival, and NBCF provides free mammograms to women in all 50 states, covering the costs associated with screening tests are out of reach for many women.

National Breast Cancer Foundation's work does not stop after diagnosis. Their programs support women throughout every stage of recovery from diagnosis to recovery, empowering women to inform and arm themselves with information that will help through emerge victorious through their individual and collective battle with breast cancer.

No one should fight cancer in isolation. The NBCF ensures that women don't lose hope and have a community of supporters and survivors to draw inspiration from. Several of us at Lovepop have seen this disease up close, and we are passionate about supporting the efforts of NBCF.

During the month of October, $1 of each purchase of our Cherry Blossom pop-up card will go directly to National Breast Cancer Foundation.
