At Lovepop HQ everyone has a favorite card. We asked a few people from the team what their favorite Lovepop was for Valentine's Day. Here are their responses!
Wombi Rose, CEO and Co-Founder
"My favorite is Hedgehogs in Love, which I gave to Su-Young last year. It's super cute because it kind of has that Cyrano de Bergerac moment with the balcony, only with a giant mushroom. Also Romeo & Juliet. And, the mushroom is super fun. The hedgehogs are really friendly. And there's a lute. I also love the overall composition. It's clear the design was made as a piece of art, rather than worrying about how to write on it, which I like, because it really makes it feel like it fits together."
Diane Swint, General Manager of Consumer
"I love the classic Japanese Maple card. It is elegant and never goes out of style. It is also perfect for all my Valentines not just my husband, my kids never get bored checking out all of the intricate detail as the card opens and closes!"
Colin Spillane, Head of Retail
"My favorite Valentine's Day card is whatever card my wife will expect least. Since all of our cards are blank, I like to customize different cards to make them unexpectedly special. Last year, I bought the Airplane card and the Lucky Clover card and decided to get crafty. I cut off all of the clovers and glued them to the Airplane as a way to surprise her with a trip to Ireland. This year I'm planning on cutting out pictures of our faces and gluing them onto the Peas in a Pod card because I know that it will make her laugh (Angela, if you are reading this and it is before Valentine's Day, forget that last sentence...). Putting in the little bit of extra effort to surprise her with something that is unique makes the card even more meaningful!"
John Wise, COO and Co-Founder
"Love Toaster! It doesn't make any sense. But then it does. :)"
Max Freiert, Head of Product
"This card is one of my favorites because my wife and I had a hilariously awkward date at Warren’s Lobster House in Maine when we first started dating, and we both still think back about it and laugh. Also it’s a lobster dressed all fancy, popping champagne. Basically Valentine’s Day in animal form."
Brandon Hendrix, Head of Acquisition
“Paris Love Scene is one of my favorite designs because it is so unexpected when you open it. The Eiffel Tower really comes out of the card and you can almost smell the French cuisine. It’s also one of my favorites because it’s a constant reminder of how much I want to go to Paris. Every time I walk by the design I get an “oh yeah” moment and think about my next trip and how I could swing Paris into the mix. It also reminds me of Las Vegas, one of my other favorite places that I have actually been to. Although not quite as awesome as the real thing, I have spent many nights at the top of the Paris Hotel having dinner… In fact, I used the Paris card last time I was there to invite my wife to dinner.”
